Reggae Jam again....

We went to Reggae Jam in Bersenbrueck again, but this time for three days including camping. It was fun and we were pretty lucky with the weather. Unfortunately we did not see so much bands, only Tanya Stephens, Junior Reid (one blood!) and Alborosie. Some photos are on flickr, again.

First weekend in Paris

Ok, what can I tell? Explored the party scene myself and went to a reggae event in the east of Paris. The club is called Gambetta and it is a pretty small location. I met before some locals by coincidence and had a great time at the party. They played first some roots stuff but later switched to new ragga and soca stuff. That was really amazing and I can tell you I loved it.
The rest of the weekend was all about some sleeping, sightseeing and swimming. So overall a blazing weekend, I would not have expect that before. Unfortunately the WiFi connection at my accomodation is leaking, so I always have to struggle to put something on or get something of the web. That sux!

UB-40 in Enschede

UB-40 in Enschede, what shall I say? Good music... ah don't know. Lots of old classics... ah sometimes. Mixed ppl. YEAH! True, that was it. Lots of different ppl of different age. Starting from 16 up to over 60. That was really fun. I have never seeen such a mixture on a concert of one artist. That was cool.

Also I learned, that they have more hits than red red wine. And surprise, they still make hits. All the dutch ppl knew them.

And actually they are named UB-40 after a form, which had to be filled in by unemployed ppl, such as the member of UB-40 have been back in the days.

Just have a look at some photos at flickr. Here is a direct link to the slideshow. Enjoy!

Pow Pow Movement is work-out

I joined last Saturday a reggae show of Pow Pow Movement. It was not really crowded, but I thought that I joined a workout program at a gym. For sure I know some reggae events, but this was a special one. I never was so exhausted at the next day, like this time. But not affected by alkohol or other stuff, but only physically whacked.

However a cool show and definitely one of the best parties this year.
